Poem:Autumn Rain After Thanksgiving

From ABJ

2010-11-29

The rain spattering the window panes
defines the night too early dark
Late Autumn comes so quickly on.
Not snow, but with a howling wind
and battering rain
that mark the time
of the waning year
One holiday over, one more soon to come
How quickly the seasons one by one
pass by before one can
take the time
to fully enjoy
the import of the burgeoning Spring,
the brilliant Summer
the glorious Fall, and not yet arrived,
the dazzling glittering Winter,
yet to come.
